1Startthetestloopwithvesselspeed0knots.
2Makeashortechogramrecording,ndthenoiselevelintheNumericalview,and
notedownthevalues.
3Increasethevesselspeedwith1or2knots,andwaituntilthespeedisstable.
4Repeattheloopuntilthevesselhasreachedmaximumspeed.

1Startwithmaximumvesselspeed.
2Startechogramrecording
3Disengagethepropellerasquicklyaspossibletoallowthevesseltoslowdown
byitself.
4Usetheannotationoreventfeaturestotageach1or2knotsspeeddecrease.
5Stoptheechogramrecordingoncethevesselhasstopped.
Ifthenoisedecreasesquicklytowardsthesamelevelasat0knotswhenthepropeller
hasbeendisengaged,thismeansthatthepropellermainlygeneratesthenoise.Ifthe
noiseatdecreasingvesselspeedismoreorlessequaltothenoiselevelatincreasing
speed,thenoiseisprobableow-noise.Usuallythenoiseisacombinationofboth.
