4Repeattheloopuntilthevesselhasreachedmaximumspeed.

3Disengagethepropellerasquicklyaspossibletoallowthevesseltoslowdown
byitself.
4Usetheannotationoreventfeaturestotageach1or2knotsspeeddecrease.
5Stoptheechogramrecordingoncethevesselhasstopped.
Ifthenoisedecreasesquicklytowardsthesamelevelasat0knotswhenthepropeller
hasbeendisengaged,thismeansthatthepropellermainlygeneratesthenoise.Ifthe
noiseatdecreasingvesselspeedismoreorlessequaltothenoiselevelatincreasing
speed,thenoiseisprobableow-noise.Usuallythenoiseisacombinationofboth.
