evenworse.Ifthevesselisallowedtomovesideways,orifthecurrentrunsabeam,this
willnormallygivelargervariationsintheechosounderperformance.Thisresultsin
poorandnotreliablecalibrationaccuracy.
Winches
Werecommendtheuseofwinchestoguideandsteerthelinestothesphereforits
centringintheechosounderbeam.Thesewinchesmustbemountedtothedeckrailing
inaccordancewithdetailedshipdrawings.
