Inthisexample,thezoomedarearectangleis
positioneddirectlyabovetheZoominformation
pane.Ifyouclickonanyofthefourcornersofthe
rectangle,youcandragittoanysizeandshape.

1AreaFixedToVessel
Whentherectangularzoomedareaisestablished,itcan
eitherfollowtheechogramwhileitmovestowardstheleft,oritcanstayput.
WhenAreaFixedToVesselisactive,thezoomedareawillbepermanentlypositioned
ontheechogram.Theechoeswillthenrunthroughthearea,andthusalsothrough
theZoominformationpane.
Historyinformationpane
ClicktheHistoryiconontheTitleBartoenablethisfunction.
TheHistoryinformationpanedoesnotusethesamepresentationmethodasthe
otherpanes.Thefunctionallowsyoutoviewpreviouslyrecordedechogram
sequences.Inordertodothis,thecurrent“active”echogramissplitintwo,andtheleft
sideisusedtodisplaytherecordedhistory.
Thisfunctionisusedtostoreechogramsonbitmapformat.TheES70willcontinuously
saveechogrampicturestoitsinternalharddisk.Thesecanberecalledonthedisplay.
TheinformationintheHistorypresentationisthesameasontheoriginalechogram
presentation.
Thenumberofhistorylesislimited.Afterreachingthemaximumnumberofles,the
newestechogrampictureoverwritestheoldestone.Thehistoryfunctionstillallowsyou
toquicklylookthroughechogrampicturescoveringseveralhours.
