User Manual Rev.: E 45
10.2.4 Capture
Here you can capture the current image from camera head 1.
10.2.5 Change Gamma LUT
Figure 38:
Web Manager - Update Gamma LUT
In addition to the factory preset gamma look-up tables (LUTs), the sinaCAM can be configured with
custom LUTs.
Note: At this point there is no feedback if a faulty LUT file is uploaded.
10.2.5.1 Naming User LUTs
Regardless of the LUT files name, the gamma settings contained therein will be select-able as USER in
the sinaCAM menu. Thus, only one user setting can be stored on the sinaCAM using the regular upload
method, as uploading a new user LUT overwrites the previous USER settings.
However, if the LUT is put into a tar archive, uploading that archive to the sinaCAM will create a new
user setting with the name of the LUT file within the archive. It is also possible to upload several LUTs at
once by placing them within the same archive. Supported compression methods for the archive file are xz,
lszma, bz2 and gz.
10.2.5.2 Gamma LUT File Format
A LUT file, as supported by the sinaCAM, is a text file with no header. It contains 16384 hex values,
assigning one to each of the 16384 (14-bit) possible input values from the camera heads sensor. The
values are given in text form (without a preceding "0x"!), separated by any whitespace character
(including line breaks), and can range from 0 to FFF, thus mapping the 14-bit input values to a
12-bit format.
