Basic Operation

Place the document on the flatbed or ADF. For more information, refer to 「 Placing the Original」 (P. 1-25).
Be sure to check if there is any document in the ADF before placing the document on the flatbed scanner.

Press 【Fax】 button at the left side on LCD to switch to the fax mode.

Set up the settings upon necessity.

Enter the receiver’s fax number.
Number Key Pad (for direct input)
- Use the number pad to enter the receiver`s fax number, and then press 【
】 button.
- You can enter up to 38 digits.
- If a wrong number is entered, press 【
】 button shortly to remove the number one by one.
Press 【
】button long to delete all numbers.
- Using 【Pause/Redial 】 button, you can apply the Pause key.
Speed Dial
- Press 【#】 button and type 3 digit speed dial numbers in Fax To screen.
- The speed dial number registered shows the number in Fax To and the message `Not registered num-
ber` pops up for unregistered number.
(Refer to the Address book setting for the registration of speed dial numbers)
- Press 【
】 button to send the Fax.
Address Book
- Press 【Fax】 button at the left of the LCD to enter into Fax Mode, and then press 【◀】or 【▶】 button to
move to the address book selecting [Search from address book].
- Press 【▲】 or 【▼】 button and then 【▶】 button to select the desired number from the address book, or
press 【OK】 button from groups. You may not need to press 【OK】 button.
(You can select more than one address and automatically switched to Broadcast Transmission mode).
- Press 【
】 button to send the fax.
