Preparation for Using the Machine

Buttons Functions
Press 【
】 button to start the operation currently set.
The jobs currently set starts.
Delete the messages(error messages or so) on the display panel.
Try again after removing the jammed paper.
Move to previous or next in menus. Change the item in the function window Change the set-
ting values in the settings window.
Press 【OK】 button to show the selected menu at the second line of the button to
show.
The menu is dependent on the types.
- When a menu is selected, its item is displayed.
If a new menu item is saved in a custom defined setting, the machine shows a mes-
sage “ Saving” , and then returns to the menu item.
Press 【 】 button to go to the previous menu or menu item.
Press 【
】 button to cancel either one of the current jobs - [Printing], [Scanning] or
[Copying] mode.
【Copy】 Press 【Copy】 button to change the settings related to [Copy] Changed settings are
applied only to the selected job.
To maintain the changed settings, press the menu button, change the default settings
of [Copy] and save it.
【Scan】 Press 【Scan】 button to change the scan settings.
The scanned files can be saved on the mobile memory(USB), directly e-mailed or
directly saved to FTP server.
This changed settings are applied only to the selected jobs.
If you want to keep this settings, press the [Menu] button and set it to [Scan] as a
default setting and then save it.
【Status】 Press 【Status】 button to switch to the standby window from menu settings.

】 Press 【
】 button to activate the power saving or maximum power saving mode, and
return to the preparation mode if it is in one of power saving modes.
Short press: Power saving mode
Long press(over 2 seconds): Maximum power saving mode.
Processing the following work, the printer power save mode is released.
Press the power button.
【Menu】 Press 【Menu】 button to go to the menu mode when [Ready] is displayed.
Various basic settings can be changed in the menu.
