*Increasing stitches *

I ncr ease 1 stitch

(Increase 1 stitch at the end.)
* The first method.
Push up 1 empty needle to B position on the
side
of Carriage and continue knitting .
* The second method.
( 1) Transfer the end stitch onto the hook of the
next empty needle leaving the second needle
vacant.
(2)
Pi ck up the loop below the se cond stitch and
place it onto the empty needle.
(Increasing multiple stitches at the end.)
* This method should be practiced on the side of
the Carriage.
(
1) On the side of the Carr. iage, push up the re-
quired number of needles to D position.
(2) Wind the yarn around the needles in
an anti-
clockwise direc
tion . After all the needles are
wound, set the Russel Levers to II position and
continue to knit.
Note
:* There should be no slack on the yarn before
knitting .
