Set decorative stitch pattern dial ■ • ! for straight
stitching by pressing down either of the selector
buttons I 5' after holding selection lever o 7 ' to
the right as far as possible. ‘ See Fig. 17 )
The selector button on the right will turn the de
corative stitch pattern dial clock wise (to the
right) the other button will turn the dial counter
clock wise (to the left).
Turn Zigzag stitch width control knob ^ 4 ^ to the
off position.

Many other control settings are available to make
the machine sew a straight stitch when the zig
zag presser foot and needle plate are used.
However, none will produce as satisfactory re
sults on fabric or very soft material.
