OVERCASTING
For light-weight material:
Set machine as shown.
Overcasting prevents edge of
fabric from fraying and pro
duces neat finish.
Place the seam allowance
under the presser foot with
the edge of the seam in line
with the side of the presser
foot as illustrated.
Trim the fabric to the stitch
line.
For thick and elastic, and
also very fine material:
Set machine as shown.
Sew in the same way as
above.
