Using your Mirge Set your favorite channels You can assign up to 10 of your favorite channels in each satellite service to the number buttons so you can quickly access them. Special Features 60-Minute Replay Buffer The Mirge’s 60-Minute Replay Buffer gives you the opportunity to “hear that again.” This feature applies to the current channel only. Changing channels or services, or turning your Mirge off removes all tracks from the Replay Buffer. Both split screen modes will display previously played tracks. In the Default Display mode you can turn the knob (radio) or use the Up/Down buttons (remote) to view the Replay List.

Special Features Locking and unlocking channels The Mirge lets you lock channels you do not want others (such as children) to access without your permission. Locked channels will not appear on the Channel List screen, the Category List screen or on the Previous Channel screen. When anyone tries to access a locked channel using Direct Channel Entry (see page 30), the screen will display a Channel Locked popup for 3 seconds and the Mirge will return to the currently-tuned channel.

Configuring your Mirge Turning the FM modulator on/off (For use with XM SureConnect or XM FM Direct adapter.) If you are using the XM SureConnect or XM FM Direct Adapter to transmit audio to your car audio system, you must turn the FM Modulator on and set the FM frequency on both your Mirge and your car radio. 1 Press the Menu button. 2 Highlight Vehicle Mode, and press the Select button. The Vehicle Mode screen will appear.
TIP! The best FM frequency to use is displayed at the top of the list. We recommend choosing that frequency. If you are not satisfied with the sound quality, select a different FM frequency from the list (or select View All Frequencies to see 100 frequencies), press the Select button, and tune your car stereo to that frequency. Aiming the antenna for best reception For best reception, your Mirge’s antenna should have a 360-degree unobstructed view of the sky. In large cities there are networks of ground repeaters to help increase the signal coverage. Your Mirge can help you aim the antenna for best reception. The sleep timer is set to OFF at the factory, but you can set it for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. NOTE! Configuring your Mirge Demo mode Your Mirge will automatically play a sales demo when your SIRIUS XM Radio subscription has not been activated and the Mirge is not connected to an antenna. Once your subscription has been activated the sales demo will not automatically appear. If desired, you can activate the demo after your subscription has been activated. 1 Make sure your Mirge is not connected to an antenna. 2 Press the Menu button. 3 Highlight Factory Defaults, and press the Select button.

Troubleshooting The Mirge has been designed and built to be trouble-free but if you experience a problem, try this: • Check that all connections are firm and secure. • M ake sure the vehicle’s cigarette lighter/auxiliary power socket is clean and free of corrosion. • I f you are using Mirge in a vehicle, check the car power adapter fuse by unscrewing the ribbed end of the adapter. If required, replace the fuse with a 2-amp fuse only.
If you see this on the screen: Try this Channel Off Air (XM only) The XM channel you’ve selected is not currently broadcasting. Tune to another channel. Loading Your Mirge is acquiring audio or program information from the satellite signal. This message usually goes away in a few seconds. SIRIUS Updating (SIRIUS only) SIRIUS XM is updating your Mirge with the latest SIRIUS firmware. Wait until the update is done.
