Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Sitecom Wi-Fi Music Player. The Sitecom WiFi Music Player allows you to stream Airplay and DLNA music content directly to your home stereo set using S/PDIF or analogue stereo output. Airplay • Stream music directly to your stereo using your iPhone, iPod, iPad or even your Mac. DLNA • • Stream music directly to your stereo using your Android phone or PC. 1 Key Features The key features of the Sitecom Wi-Fi Music Player include: • • • • • 2 OPS setup, with One-Push-Setup you can establish a connection with your router within seconds. S/PDIF output, digital optical output for crystal clear sound. Stereo Jack output, for connecting the device to almost any output source possible. Airplay support, stream music directly to your stereo using your iPhone, iPod, iPad or even your Mac.
3 Cautions This player’s design and manufacturer has your safety in mind. In order to safely and effectively use this player, please read the following before usage. 3.1 Usage Cautions User should not modify this player. If commercial hard disk is being used, the environmental temperature should be within +5 ~ +35 degrees Celsius. 3.2 Power The player’s power voltage is DC 5V. When using this player, please connect the supplied AC adapter to the player’s micro USB port.
4 Product Layout 4.1 Front Panel Item Description Power LED The LED lights red when the device is switched on. During audio streaming it is lit green. Note: from firmware version 1.1.21A the device will light purple when it is configured but not connect to a Wi-Fi network. This might be an indication of a bad connection or a misconfigured password / network.
4.2 Back Panel Item Description S/PDIF Use this port to connect the S/PDIF cable. WPS / OPS button Use this button to connect the device to your wireless network if WPS / OPS is supported. Audio Jack Use this port to connect the RCA / audio jack cable. Power Use this port to connect the supplied 5v power-adapter.
5 Getting Started Before beginning the installation, please read through the installation procedure described in this manual. 5.1 Installation Requirements To begin using the Wi-Fi Music Player, you will need: • • An output equipped with either S/PDIF or analogue input channel. Existing wireless network (802.11G / 802.11N) 5.2 Installation Procedure The Wi-Fi Music Player installation procedure is summarized below: 1. Connect the Wi-Fi Music Player to an output source. 2.
• Digital Audio (S/PDIF) Connect the supplied 5V DC adapter to a free wall socket. Connect the other end to the designated port on the back of the Wi-Fi Music Player. Plug an optical cable into the corresponding port on the back of the Wi-Fi Music Player. Connect the other end to the corresponding port on your Audio receiver.
6 Connecting the Wi-Fi Music Player to your network Once the Wi-Fi Music Player is connected to an audio output source, you’ll need to connect it to your wireless network. 6.1 Connecting the Wi-Fi Music Player to your network using OPS 6.2 Connecting the Wi-Fi Music Player to your network without OPS (Manual Setup) If the wireless router that you are using is not Sitecom branded, or it does not support WPS / OPS setup follow below steps to connect the Wi-Fi Music Player to your network; 1.

Once connected open a web browser, you should automatically be redirected to the login-page of the device, if you don’t get redirected please fill in the network name of the device which is mentioned on the back label with http:// in front of it e.g. http://sitecom-e1aa you should see the following screen; Login with username and password: admin 3. Select Wi-Fi Setup, select the network you want to connect the Wi-Fi Music player to and fill-in the corresponding security key, click connect.
Wait two minutes. You should now be able to play your music following the included Quick Installation Guide.
Note: If after manual configuration the LED is lit purple, this might indicate that the password entered was not correct. To resolve this, reset the device by pressing the WPS button for 15 seconds and repeat the procedure.
7.1 Status Page Once logged into the device you’ll see the status-page. The status-page displays the actual settings of the device: Device name: the device-name given to the device (by default Sitecom-XXXX). Language: the chosen language of the interface. Airplay Service: displays whether the Airplay service is enabled or disabled. DLNA Service: displays whether the DLNA service is enabled or disabled. Wi-Fi Connection: displays the current status of the Wireless connection.
Furthermore there are two buttons named; Restore Factory Default: clicking this button will reset the device to its original state. Firmware Upgrade: clicking this button will allow you to upgrade the firmware of the device the screen shows you the following: Select the firmware file which can be downloaded from: www.sitecom.com and choose upgrade.
7.2 Settings Page The settings page allows you to configure the device, e.g. enable or disable streamservices, change password, change device name…. Device name: this field allows you change the device-name of the device, by changing the name you can customize how the device appaers on playback devices. Note: If you change the name, this will also become the URL to access the device e.g.
7.3 Wi-Fi Setup Page The Wi-Fi setup page allows you to manually setup a wireless connection if OPS / WPS are not supported. It also displays the current Wi-Fi status. Join into wireless lan: when this option is not checked, the device is broadcasting his own SSID. When it is checked it indicates that it is associated with a wireless network, and the device displays the current connection status.
