EMPTYING CHIP TRAY
Disconnect the plug
from the power source
before making any assembly, adjustments
or changing accessories. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the
tool accidentally.
Do not operate tool with-
out chip tray installed.
Flying debris can cause fire or personal injury.
Empty chip tray into suit-
able container. Make
sure container does not have any combus-
tible materials. The hot metal chips may ig-
nite combustible materials and cause a fire.
The chip tray cover may
become very hot after
use. Do not touch with bare hand.
When cleaning do not
combine hot metal chips
with combustible materials. The hot metal
chips may ignite combustible materials and
cause a fire.
To empty the chips form the chip tray, grasp
the chip tray between the hand and thumb ,
with the thumb on the chip tray release but-
ton and other fingers on the center heat shield.
Depress the release button and tip the tray
away from the saw (Fig. 11). Dispose of chips
properly.
To replace the chip tray, grasp the chip tray
between the hand and thumb. Align two tabs
front and back of chip tray with the notches
in the upper guard, and tip tray towards the
upper guard, until the chip tray release button
latches in the upper guard.
