General information 3 General information Owner's Manual Warranty This Owner's manual describes all possible equipment variants without identifying them as special equipment, model variants or market-dependent equipment. The equipment warranty terms and conditions also apply for new vehicles. After the expiration of the warranty, a piece of equipment in need of repair can be replaced with a reconditioned, original item with spare part warranty.
4 General information Anti-theft protection Note The anti-theft coding of your navigation system prevents an operation of the system after a voltage interruption, e.g. during a vehicle repair or after theft. After disconnecting the battery, disconnecting the navigation system from the onboard voltage of the vehicle and after a fuse failure, the code must be entered before the vehicle can be used again.

8 Voice control of the radio navigation system Voice control of the radio navigation system General information Introduction Thanks to this equipment, you can operate a few functions of your navigation system via the microphone installed in the vehicle; a so-called “Speak what you see on the touch-screen” system. You can use the voice control in the operating modes RADIO, MEDIA, PHONE, MAP and NAV. You can adjust the volume during the call at any time by turning the control button 1 .
Voice control of the radio navigation system 9 Due to the large number of possible voice commands, we give here only a few examples. Therefore, please observe the system guidelines when entering voice commands. The help display can be set separately for each operating mode in the system (this means, if you only set the help display for the operating mode MAP, it is only displayed in this operating mode). The system only recognises 30 000 entries (i.

MEDIA mode - pressing this briefly changes over to the beginning of the current title or chapter, repeated pressing changes over to the beginning of the previous title or chapter. If the CD/DVD is not taken out within 10 seconds, it is drawn in again for safety reasons. CD to jump Uneven road surfaces and strong vibrations may cause the CD to jump.
18 MEDIA mode General information for MP3 operation ● If the CD/DVD drive becomes mechanically defective or a CD/DVD has been inserted incorrectly or not fully, “CD fault will be displayed. Please check CD.” and then the “DVD drive fault” indicated on the touch-screen. Please check the CD/ DVD and place it again correctly and fully into the drive. If a “CD/DVD drive fault” is indicated again, please contact your ŠKODA Service Partner.
MEDIA mode 19 Memory card empty or data not readable If a memory card is inserted, on which no audio data has been stored, it will not be switched over into the memory card mode after the loading procedure. Adjust the play function volume of the external audio source The play function volume of the external audio source can be changed via the volume control on the navigation system 1 . Requirements of the memory card ● Memory cards measuring 32 mm x 24 mm x 2.1 mm or 1.

You could make sudden manoeuvres in the passenger compartment and injure the occupants. A folder can have a max. of 7 sub-folders. Press the function key appropriate higher priority folder.

22 MEDIA mode TV mode Overview Explanation of the technical terms “Terrestrial television” or DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestric) With DVB-T, digital television signals are transmitted terrestrially (earthbound) and can also be received via an aerial. DVB-T therefore offers mobile reception of high quality without the need of a fixed aerial connection. DVB-T is therefore described as “Terrestrial television”.
MEDIA mode Turn Set button 1 to manually adjust a TV channel or digital TV station. Displays in TV mode Some television stations offer bilingual programs in “dual channel tone”. In the Setup Video ⇒ page 14, Setup TV you can choose which language (language channel) you want to listen to. In this case “Channel A” or “Channel B” will be displayed at the top left on the touch-screen. A program in stereo will also be indicated by the symbol “” on the right on the touch-screen under the function key .

Before connecting the mobile phone for the first time it is necessary to pair the phone with the radio navigation system - detailed information about this can be found in your vehicle's Owner's manual and phone operating guide.

The route is recalculated each time if you ignore driving recommendations or change the route. This process takes only a few seconds. Driving recommendations can only then be re-transmitted.

40 TMC mode TMC mode Displaying TMC traffic reports TMC traffic reports are used during route guidance, depending on the set-up for the automatic optimization of the route, to report possible traffic problems. You can browse through all the traffic information received in the detailed display, in sequence by using the function keys.
