inanASsystemandareaIDwhichspecifytherangeofroutingprocess.
IftherouterIDisnotconfigured,theloopbackinterfaceIPwillbetakenasrouterID.
Ifthereisnoloopbackinte rface,systemwillselectamaximumIPaddressfromallof
interfaceIPs.
ToconfigurearouterID,completethefollowingcommand:

(JadeOS) (config-router)#ospf router-id <IP>
ToconfigureaareaID,usethefollowingcommand:

JadeOS(config-router)# area <area id> <parameter>

6.7.3ConfiguringOSPFInterfaceParameters
JadeOSallowsyoutoaltercertaininterfacespecificOSPFparametersasneeded.You
are not required to alter any of these parameters, but some interface parameters
mustbeconsistentacrossallroutersinanattachednetwork.Therefore,besurethat
ifyoudoconfigureanyofthesepar ameters,theconfigurationsforallroutersonyour
networkhavecompatiblevalues.
To specify inte rface parameters as needed for your network, use the any of the
commandslistedintable61:
