7. Remove the front shock assemblies using a 15mm socket. (See Photo # 4) 8. Disconnect the front lower A-arms from the steering knuckles using a 13mm socket. (See Photo # 5) 9. Mark a line around the radius of the front lower A-arm bushings that are inline with the cv-shafts & remove the front lower A-arms using a 15mm socket. (See Photo # 6) 10. Disconnect the front upper A-arms from the steering knuckles using a 13mm socket. (See Photo # 7) Photo # 4 11. Remove the upper A-arms using a 15mm socket.

13. Remove the outer clamp & inner plastic tie from the rack & pinion boots. Slide the rack & pinion boots toward the outer tie rods. (See Photo # 11) 14. Rotate the steering wheel to full lock to the passenger side & install the new Skyjacker driver side steering stop spacer onto the rack & pinion shaft behind the inner tie rod. (See Photo # 12) 15.

24. Remove the brake line retaining bracket from each OEM upper A-arm using a 5/32” drill bit to remove the rivet head. (See Photo # 17) 25. Measure from the rearward eyelet of each new Skyjacker upper A-arm 5 1/6”. Mark, center punch, & drill each new brake line retaining bracket mounting location using a 5/32” drill bit. (See Photo # 18) 26. Install an OEM brake line retaining bracket to each new Skyjacker upper A-arm using the supplied 5/32” rivets. (See Photo # 19) 27.

31. Remove the 10mm x 100mm bolt, washers, & nut that are to the inside of the frame on each new Skyjacker upper shock bracket & install two of the new Skyjacker sleeves (Part # CS1281) into the two inside upper shock mounting locations. Reinstall the 10mm x 100mm bolt, washers, & nut through each new Skyjacker upper shock bracket & new Skyjacker sleeves using a 17mm socket. Note: Do not tighten at this time. (See Photo # 24) 32.

37. Attach the new Skyjacker lower A-arms to the steering knuckles using the OEM hardware & a 13mm socket. (See Photo # 30) 38. Attach the brake caliper assemblies using the OEM hardware & a 15mm socket. (See Photo # 31) 39. Install the new Skyjacker upper bumper brackets to the frame using the supplied 5/16” x 1” bolts, washers, nuts, OEM hardware, 1/2” socket, & a 15mm socket. (See Photo # 32) 40.

FINAL NOTES: • After the installation is complete, double check that all nuts & bolts are tight. Refer to the following chart below for the proper torque specifications. (Do not retighten the nuts & bolts where thread lock compound was used.) • With the vehicle placed on the ground, cycle the steering lock to lock & inspect the steering, suspension, brake lines, front & rear drivelines, fuel lines, & wiring harnesses for proper operation, tightness, & adequate clearance.
