Disconnect both connectors at
the steer select valve solenoids,
wires [8], [2C] and [9], [2B].
Check for front-wheel steer
Front-wheel steer mode
does not function when the
steer select switch is in the
center position
Refer to Section 8.8.15,
“Front-Wheel Steering Circuit
(Left Turn) and
Troubleshooting,” or Section
8.8.16, “Front-Wheel Steering
Circuit (Right Turn) and
Troubleshooting.”

OK
Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Fuses.
2. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
Solenoids are energized.
Identify short in either the cab
or engine harness on
wires [8] or [9] to battery
voltage. Repair/replace
shorted harness.
If OK
Verify 0 volts at steer select
switch, Pins 1 and 3.
If OK
Replace steer select switch.
