CODE APPROVALS:
Slant/Fin boilers meet most codes throughout the United States. Listed below are code approvals which we are most frequently
asked about. However, please consult your Slant/Fin representative regarding other approvals you may have to meet.
National: All Slant/Fin gas boilers are A.G.A design certified. All oil burners used by Slant/Fin are U.L. listed.
All boilers meet or exceed the National Appliance Energy Compliance Act effective January 1, 1992.
All Slant/Fin boilers have AHRI approved ratings. Ratings for boilers with inputs less than 300,000 Btuh
are established under ASHRAE Standard 103 as required by DOE and are verified annually by
Hydronics Institute under the AHRI DOE Verification Program.
Ratings for boilers with inputs 300,000 Btuh and over are established by Hydronics Institute under
AHRI test procedures.
Slant/Fin is a holder of an ASME Certificate of Authorization and Code Stamp. All cast-iron boilers are
built to the requirements of Section IV of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

Pennsylvania All Slant/Fin oil and gas boilers are approved in Pennsylvania by PA Cert 3893 for individual boilers
and 174-BT-S for Caravan.
