CODE APPROVALS:
Slant/Fin boilers meet most codes throughout the United States. Listed below are code approvals which we are most frequently
asked about. However, please consult your Slant/Fin representative regarding other approvals you may have to meet.
National: All Slant/Fin gas boilers are A.G.A design certified. All oil burners used by Slant/Fin are U.L. listed. All
boilers meet or exceed the National Appliance Energy Compliance Act effective January 1, 1992.
All Slant/Fin boilers have I=B=R approved ratings. Ratings for boilers with inputs less than 300,000
Btuh are established under ASHRAE Standard 103 as required by DOE and are verified annually ny
Hydronics Institute under the I=B=R DOE Verification Program.
Ratings for boilers with inputs 300,000 Btuh and over are established by Hydronics Institute under
I=B=R test procedures.
Slant/Fin is a holder of an ASME Certificate of Authorization and Code Stamp. All cast-iron boilers are
built to the requirements of Section IV of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

Pennsylvania All Slant/Fin oil and gas boilers are approved in Pennsylvania by PA Cert 3893 for individual boilers
and 174-BT-S for Caravan.
