Instructions / Assembly

Horizontal Cap Rail Instructions.
1) Once all the boards have been inserted and the fence looks complete, this is when you would
install the optional Horizontal Cap rail.
2) Simply remove the Top board in the stack between 2 posts, and trim the Cap rail to the same
length as this top board. Then slip the cap rail onto this board and secure it to the top of the board
with two wood screws included in the channel kit, one on each end. (you will need to pre-drill
these holes with a metal 1/4” bit.)
3) Then replace this board back onto the top of the panel, and secure to channels after the three-
week shrinking period. The Cap Rail fits INSIDE of the 2 side channels to provide some
flexibility to level if necessary.
4) Then tap on the “self tightening” Aluminum Post cap with rubber mallet to all Posts.
5) Post caps should sit approximately 2” above the top of the fence boards for a nice clean look.
Posts can be easily cut down with a metal blade on your saw if necessary.
To construct a 7 foot high Horizontal Slipfence ask for the HCK07 which takes 15 boards
stacked and for an 8 foot high Horizontal Slipfence ask for the HCK08 which takes 17 boards
stacked.
