MAINTAINING THE CAPTURE BOARD

If you misplace the markers or if they run dry, you can replace them with third-party dry erase
markers. The barrel of third-party dry erase markers can be any length and diameter, but the tip
and nib must be within the following dimensions:
≥ 9/16"
(≥ 14 mm)
≥ 3/16"
(≥ 5 mm)
1/8–1/4"
(3–5.5 mm)
≤ 3/8"
(≤ 9 mm)
For best results, SMART recommends these third-party replacement markers:
l BIC® Magic Marker® dry erase liquid markers, fine tip
l Expo® low odor fine tip dry erase markers
l Staples® Remarx™ dry erase markers, bullet tip
l Melissa & Doug® dry erase markers
CAUTION
The following pens are not recommended for use with the capture board.
l BIC Great Erase Grip® dry erase markers
l Board Dudes®
l Liqui-Mark®
l Quartet®
