1 Introduction
The smart DPA 21 is an active unicable system with two satellite IF inputs and one Unicable output.
2 Application
The schematic drawings show the basic design of DPA 21systems.

2.1 General Notes


 Use only high quality installation material. The coaxial cable should have a shield-
ing factor of at least 90dB.
Seek advice from your distributor!
 DECT cordless phones have a large transmission power, and may jam the recep-
tion with poor cable shielding.

ACHTUNG!
Make sure that the outer conductor wires of the coaxial cable do not touch the
inner core (may cause a short circuit).
2.2 Inputs
Connect the inputs of the device with two outputs of the external equipment (Universal Twin LNB or
Quad Switch LNB) or the multiswitch. Suitable are multiswitches with analog or DiSEqC 1.0 switch up to
eight satellite IF inputs.


 The device is not intended for use with Quatro - LNB! The current consumption of
the LNB should be less than 150mA.
 The multiswitch must have its own power supply (own PSU)! Remote powered
multiswitches must not be used!

2.3 Outputs to the Receivers
You can connect two receivers to the DPA 21 unit via a 2-way splitter. The splitter should be decoupled
with diodes.
