The Overflow Water Conserver does not restrict the flow of water and will not affect the power
of the flush.
By using a Toilet Tank Overflow Water Conserver, the majority of wasted water that would
normally flow to the bowl can be diverted back into the toilet tank. Water is saved because the
tank fills sooner which shuts off the fill valve.

Installation Instructions
1. Make sure that water is not running in the toilet at the time of
installation.
2. Make sure water level is 1” from the top of the overflow tube, adjust
fill valve as needed.
3. Pull the refill hose so it does not kink when attached to the Toilet
Overflow Water Conserver. (cut hose to size)
4. Insert the Toilet Overflow Water Conserver into the refill hose end
(apply a small amount of vegetable oil or soap so that the hose end
fits over the last ring securing a tight fit to the nozzle).
5. Insert the Toilet Overflow Water Conserver onto the overflow tube
as pictured above.

Instructions for Mansfield
or Gerber Toilet
If your toilet is a Mansfield or a Gerber with a flush
valve as pictured above you may be able to make an
easy alteration to allow the installation of the Smarter
Flush Overflow Water Conserver.
1. Make sure that the water is not running in the toilet
during this installation.
2. Remove the refill hose from the top of the flush
valve.
3. Cut off about an inch and a quarter from the refill
hose. Insert that cut piece of hose on to the end of the
spout of the Overflow Water Conserver as pictured.
4. Insert the cut piece of hose on the Overflow Water
Conserver back on to the flush valve. For ease of
insertion you can apply a small amount of soap so
that the hose end fits on the ring of the flush valve.
