WARNING

• GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS – This appliance must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an appliance-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. This pressurized UV pond filter can fit 1 in., 1 1/4 in. and 1 1/2 in. ID tubing, If using 1 in. ID tubing, proceed to step 2. If using 1 1/4 in. or 1/1/2 in. . Wait several seconds for the light to turn on then check the indicator window to verify if the light is functioning correctly. 1. This pressurized UV pond filter with back flush cleaning function, allow cleaning without disassembly. Connect a length of tube to the adapter, then connect other side to the dirty water basin. Fig. 6 NOTE: Tubing is NOT INCLUDED . Connect to dirty water basin Fig. 6 2. 4. If the pressure indicator still visibly red, pressurized UV pond filter should be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly using warm, soapy water, replace the filter pad annually. Fig. 9 Red Fig. 9 5. 8. Remove all parts from tank, cleaned thoroughly using warm, soapy water. Replace the filter pad annually. Fig. 13 Notes: The bio balls in you filter system and the inside surfaces of the filter box contain the beneficial bacteria. At least once a year the entire system should be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly using warm, soapy water (biodegradable soap). This should not be done during the warm season as it may take up to 8 weeks to re-establish the environmental balance.

Assembly tubing back to pond filter, connect the UV clarifier plug into a properly grounded electrical outlet. Fig. 18 GFCI Fig. 18 CARE AND MAINTENANCE – UV clarifier To maximize the performance of the UV clarifier, periodically disassemble the unit to clean dirt, debris from the exterior of the glass tube and dirt inside light housing. Check bulb to make sure that it has not burned out.

2. Using a screwdriver, removed the four screws that hold the cap. Then remove the cap. Fig. 20 Fig. 20 3. Using a screwdriver, removed the two screws that hold the wire clip. Then remove wire clip. 5. Remove the bulb holder, carefully remove the old bulb by firmly pulling on the base. Carefully install the new bulb, install the bulb holder back to new bulb. If you only would like replace bulb, skip to step 8, if you would like cleaning UV clarifier, press to next step. Fig. 23 Lamp holder OLD Bulb NEW Bulb Bulb holder Fig. 23 6. Carefully pull out the glass tube assembly by twisting and then pull out. Use warm, soapy water to clean the outside of glass tube and inside of lamp housing.

8. Carefully reinstall the lamp holder and locking ring, make sure lamp holder gasket is seated properly.
