Manual Method
You can manually configure a wireless connection. Once your gateway’s other parameters are set up, follow these
steps.
1. In the left menu, click Wireless. Click the wireless band that you want to configure and then click Security.
2. Scroll down to the Manual Setup AP section.
3. If your gateway supports multiple wireless networks, select the SSID of the network you wish to configure.
You will need this ID for Step 8.
4. Select the desired Network Authentication method. Make sure that the host devices you intend to use
support the authentication method that you select.
5. If desired, choose a WPA/WAPI passphrase and type it in to this field. To use the default passphrase, click
Click here to display and copy the passphrase. You will need this passphrase for Step 8.
6. Select any desired encryption preferences in the next three fields.
7. Click Apply / Save.
8. Follow the Wi-Fi connection instructions provided with your client device to connect to the gateway. Enter
the SSID name that you selected in Step 3 and the passphrase from Step 5 in the corresponding fields on
the network setup screen of your Wi-Fi client device.
