Setting / Operation
Setting the time (TIME)
With this adjuster you can set the duration of lighting of the halogen
reflector lamp after the detection of movement. The time can be set
from the left limit stop (6 seconds) to the right limit stop (10 minutes)
(Illus. 3).
Turn-on Sensitivity (DAYLIGHT)
With this adjuster you can set the luminous intensity at which the
halogen reflector lamp is to switch itself on. The turn-on sensitivity
can be adjusted from the left limit stop (day) to the right limit stop
(night) (Illus. 3).
• First of all turn the sensitivity adjuster completely to the left limit
stop. Now wait until daylight has reached the intensity (twilight) at
witch the halogen reflector light is to switch itself on.
• You should move in front of the IR sensor so that the reflector
lamp switches itself on and now turn the sensitivity adjuster slow-
ly towards the right, until the reflector lamp switches itself on.

• The range of the sensor depends on the ambient temperature.
The range is larger during cold weather than hot weather. The
range details are refer to an ambient temperature of 20° C.
• The sensor reacts to changes of heat radiation. This is why the
sensor can respond wrongly to objects in the coverage area
which are heating up or cooling down. The reflecting heat of
water surfaces or trees moving in the wind might cause different
temperatures in front of the coverage area of the sensor, to which
the sensor then also reacts.
• Direct solar radiation, snow, ice and reflecting light on bright sur-
faces should be avoided as well as the proximity of ventilators
and other light sources.
