Notes on Installation (important)

Optimal operation can only be guaranteed if you select the installa-

tion site carefully. This is why you should observe the following

notes for the selection of a suitable place of installation:

• The product is not suitable for the installation on flammable mate-

rials. The lamp housing gets very hot during operation. To prevent

a fire hazard, the halogen reflector lamp should be installed at a

sufficient distance to ceilings and walls (min. 200 mm) and no

objects should be placed in front of the reflector lamp.

• The product is not suitable for the installation on ceilings.

• The sensor responds best to movements which are transverse to

the coverage area. This is why the sensor should be placed in a

way where movements can be registered transverse to the cover-

age area, from one side to the opposite side.

• The higher you fix the sensor, the larger the coverage area. How-

ever, a coverage area which was chosen too large, can cause

unnecessary turn-on cycles. This is why we recommend a max.

installation height of approx. 2.5 metres.

Coverage Area

The coverage area of the IR sensor can be adjusted by turning the

sensor 30° horizontally and vertically.

Changing of Illuminant

When changing the illuminant, take into consideration that only a

lamp with a power of max. 150W is safe.

Before changing, switch off the electrical power and let the illumi-

nant cool down for approx. 10 minutes.
