DO Y COMPRENDIDO TODAS LAS ADVERTENCIAS PRESENTES
EN EL CAPÍTULO 2 “ADVERTENCIAS PARA LA SEGURIDAD Y EL
USO”.
Una vez instalado correctamente el lavavajillas, lleve a cabo las siguientes ope-
raciones para que pueda funcionar correctamente:
• regule el descalcifi cador de agua;
• coloque la sal regeneradora;
• coloque el abrillantador y el detergente.

4. Uso del dispensador de abrillantador y
detergente
El dispensador de detergente y el dosifi cador de abrillantador están situados
en la parte interior de la puerta: a la izquierda se encuentra el dispensador
(ref. A fig. 5-03) y a la derecha el dosificador (ref. B fig. 5-03).

BEFORE STARTING TO USE THE APPLIANCE, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE
READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL THE WARNINGS CONTAINED IN CHAP-
TER 2 “IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTION”.
Once the dishwasher has been correctly installed, prepare for use as follows:
• adjust the water softening system;
• add the regenerating salt;
• add the rinse-aid and detergent.
5.1 Using the water softening system
The amount of scale contained in the water (water hardness index) can cause whit-
ish staining on the dry dishes, which tend to become dull over time. The dishwasher
is equipped with an automatic softening system which uses a special regenerat-
ing salt to reduce the hardness of the water. The dishwasher is factory set for water
hardness level 3 (average hardness 41-60°dF – 24-31°dH / 23.6-35 gpg). When us-
ing water of medium hardness, the regenerating salt container should be relled
after approximately 20 washing cycles. The salt container can hold approximately
1.7 Kg (3.75 lb) of salt in grains. Some models are equipped with an optical no-salt
indicator. In these models, the cap of the salt container contains a green oat which
descends as the salt concentration in the water drops. When the green oat can no
longer be seen, the container must be topped up with regenerating salt. The con-
tainer is situated at the bottom of the dishwasher. After removing the lower rack,
unscrew the salt container cap (ref. A g. 5-01) by turning it anticlockwise and pour
in the salt using the funnel (ref. A g. 5-02) supplied with the dishwasher. Before re-
placing the cap (ref. A g. 5-01), remove any salt residues from around the opening.

Uso del descalcificador de agua
La cantidad de caliza contenida en el agua (índice de dureza del agua) es responsable de las
manchas blancas en la vajilla seca que, con el tiempo, tiende a ponerse opaca. El lavavajillas
se suministra con un descalcificador automático que, utilizando sal regeneradora específi
ca, elimina eventuales sustancias endurecedoras presentes en el agua. El lavavajillas se su-
ministra con una re-gulación de fábrica equivalente al nivel 3 del índice de dureza (dure-
za media 41-60°dF – 24-31°dH / 23,6-35 gpg). Utilizando agua de dureza media, deberá
volver a colocar la sal regeneradora cada 20 lavados aproximadamente. El depósito del
descalcificador tiene una capacidad de aprox. 1,7 kg (3,75 lb) de sal gruesa. Algunos mo-
delos están equipados con un indicador óptico de falta de sal. En estos modelos, el tapón
del compartimiento sal contiene un flotador de color verde que baja al reducirse la con-
centración de sal en el agua. Cuando el indicador verde deja de estar visible se debe añadir
sal. El depósito se encuentra en el fondo del lavavajillas. Tras haber sacado el cesto inferior,
quite el tapón (ref. A fig. 5-01) del depósito girándolo en sentido antihorario y coloque la sal
utilizando el embudo (ref. A fig. 5-02) que forma parte del equipo base del lavavajillas. Antes
de volver a enroscar el tapón (ref. A fig. 5-01) elimine los eventuales residuos de sal que se
encuentren cerca de la abertura del depósito.
