Having difficulties? Here are some tips that might help. Your ConnectLight
has been individually tested and worked when it was shipped. It is very
unlikely that the ConnectLight is malfunctioning. Well walk you through
some of the common issues that you might encounter.
QUICK OVERVIEW OF POSSIBLE INSTALLATION ISSUES
Troubleshooting
You cant get
the
ConnectLight
installed over
the selected
outlet.
TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
Is the outlet a standard duplex or décor outlet? If not,
please select a different outlet. See the Non-
compatible Outletsection of the troubleshooting guide.
Is there an obstruction that is preventing the prongs from
passing around the outlet and inside the electrical box?
See the Obstructionsection of the troubleshooting guide.
You have
installed the
ConnectLight
over a
compatible
outlet but it is
not illuminating.
Did you turn the power back on?
Is there something interfering with the contact between
the prongs and side screw terminals? See Obstruction
section. Remember to turn the power off before
removing the ConnectLight!
The ConnectLight only illuminates when the area is dark and
motion is detected. You may need to darken the room or place
your hand over the light/motion sensor. The light/motion sensor
is the rectangle in the lower center of the ConnectLight.
Have you installed the ConnectLight in the correct
orientation over your outlet? The LEDs should be
on the same side as the ground on the outlet.
See the Orientationsection.
ISSUE
WARNINGWARNING
Check to make sure the brightness switch (the switch on the
front of the ConnectLight) is in the Lowor Highposition.
Failure to turn OFF electrical power prior to
installing or removing the ConnectLight can
result in electrical shock, fires, and/or death.
You have
installed the
ConnectLight,
but it is not
activating other
ConnectLights
when motion is
detected.
Are the ConnectLights on the same zone? Check the
switch on the left side of the ConnectLights and make sure
they are all set to the same zone (either Zone 1 or Zone 2).
Are the areas around each ConnectLight dark?
Are any of the ConnectLights further than 30-40 feet apart? The
ConnectLight communicates best within 30-40 feet, so you may
need to select a closer outlet for your ConnectLight.
