Extensions - M300
To be able to use a handset, an extension must have been set up for it on the web interface of the base
station, and the handset must be registered for the extension.
Click on Extensions to open the Extensions and Handsets page. By default, Extensions is visible
(Fig. 1), as indicated by its larger font. Click on the Handset link in Fig. 1 if you want to switch to the
Handsets view (Fig. 2).

1. On the Extensions page, click on Add extension (Fig. 1). The Add extension page opens (Fig. 3).
Depending on your PBX, the information you need to enter will vary. Extension setting and Server
selection are mandatory. The remaining settings depend on the requirements of your PBX or VoIP
provider and can be left blank, if nothing is required. Check with your IT administrator or service
provider. As a minimum you will need to:
d. Enter the extension number in the Extension text field.
e. If there is more than one SIP server in your network, select the one you wish to use from the
drop-down menu of Server, if necessary.
f. Click on the checkbox to the left of the Add Handset line.
