OPTIONAL: Manually Set up Bluetooth Connection

Windows Mobile 5.0 with built-in Bluetooth radio
You can skip this step. Go ahead and connect to a telephone line and dial
into your network. The Bluetooth connection will be established when the
Pocket PC tries to connect to the modem to dial.
Socket SD/CF Connection Kit
1. Turn on the modem. Push the power switch up. To run the modem on AC
power, use the included AC adapter.
2. Insert the Socket SD/CF card into your Pocket PC.
3. Tap on the Bluetooth icon. Tap Advanced Features | Bluetooth Devices.
4. Tap Tools | Device Discovery.
5. Follow the wizard to search for the Socket Cordless 56K Modem. Select
Socket Cordless Modem from the list of found devices.
6. When prompted, enter the passkey. The passkey is printed on a sticker
on the back of the modem, as well as inside the battery door.
Note: You only need
to discover, bond
with, and pair with
the modem the first
time

ou use it.
7. After you complete the wizard, the modem should appear in the
Bluetooth Devices folder as a phone. Tap Tools | My Favorites.
8. Tap on the Phone tab and select Socket Cordless Modem. Tap ok.
9. The Bluetooth Status LED will blink, indicating the Bluetooth connection.
