STEP 3: Connect Modem and PC with Bluetooth
WARNING!
Do not plug the modem into a digital PBX line. The modem
will not work and may be damaged.
1. Connect the Socket Cordless 56K Modem to an analog phone line. Use
the included retractable cable.
2. Turn on the Cordless 56K Modem by pushing the power switch up. To
run the modem on AC power, use the included AC adapter.
3. On your PC, perform a Bluetooth device search until you find the
Cordless 56K Modem. If your software allows you to, you may want to
search for only phone devices (the modem is classified as a phone).
Note: If you are using a Socket add-on Bluetooth product with
BlueSoleil software, click Bluetooth | Device Discovery.
4. Pair and bond with the Cordless 56K Modem. Enter the passkey for
your modem. The passkey is printed on a sticker on the back of the
modem, as well as inside the battery door.
