OPTIONAL: Set up Advanced Networking
Follow the steps below to set up a connection for a RAS server. Advanced
setup is necessary only if your network does NOT use DHCP (Dynamic
Host Configuration Protocol).
Note: You may want to complete the Network Information Form in
Appendix B.
Windows XP
1. After completing the New Connection Wizard, the Connect screen will
appear. Click Properties.
2. Click on the Networking tab. Check Internet Protocol and click Properties.
3. Enter any necessary settings. If needed, click Advanced to enter DNS,
WNS or other settings. When done, click OK.
4. Click OK again in the main properties screen.
5. Restart your computer to make sure the changes take effect.
