SoClean 3 uses Activated Oxygen, an eective, invisible disinfectant.
Activated Oxygen, also known as ozone, contacts the CPAP equipment
only, not the user, during the Disinfecting Cycle.
SoClean 3 is designed to produce a sucient level of ozone for disinfection
of your CPAP equipment. The smell of ozone is detectable at low
concentrations by some people and you may smell ozone briey during
the Disinfecting Cycle. The scent of ozone has the characteristic of a sweet
chlorine-like smell.
Ozone is a gaseous disinfectant that naturally breaks down to oxygen
after it is generated. The SoClean 3 device is designed to safely contain
ozone within the system. It has a Filter inside the Disinfection Chamber
to help convert ozone back to oxygen.
WARNING: In rare instances, those with respiratory sensitivities could experience
irritation. Should this occur, discontinue use and contact SoClean.
WARNING: If a strong ozone odor is detected when the SoClean 3 is operating per
the instructions for use, inspect for visible damage, such as cracks in the enclosure
or tubing along with tubing connections. If you believe the SoClean 3 device is
not operating correctly, disconnect the power to the device and contact SoClean.
NOTE: Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should be reported
to the manufacturer or the competent authority of the member state in which the user
is established.
