Connecting Solar Panels
A. Sol-Ark has TRIPLE MPPTs for three separate PV input pairs
B. MAX PV input = 17kW (± 5%) / system | 5.67kW / MPPT | MAX 500V
OC
PV | MAX I
SC
/MPPT 26A (limiting to 26A)
Damage will occur if PV V
OC
> 550V
C. Parallel strings per MPPT must be the same Voltage
i. PV1 A/B must be the same voltage if using both strings
ii. Panels on the same MPPT CAN face different directions
D. Ground the panel MOUNTS/FRAMES to any ground in the Home via 12AWG wire
E. IF using Y-Connectors: Running two strings in parallel, totaling 26A (self-limiting)
F. Connect the solar panel strings as indicated by the following diagram:
G.
Only one temperature sensor
can be used per install
(Connected to Master Inverter)
Check Battery Integration Guide for specific
instructions on Closed Loop Comm
Integration: www.sol-ark.com/support/
Each string can use separate
wires
String minimum is usually 5
panels or 125V
Maximum combined
input (AC+DC) =
34.2kW
19.2kW AC +
15kW DC
Multi-Terminal Multi Lead Acid Install
Multi-Terminal Multi Lithium Install
Optional Battery Installation Method: Multi-Terminal Installation
The battery terminals parallel batteries to ensure a common connection. If 275A charge/discharge rate is needed,
connect batteries to both terminals; If using 3 or more batteries, use a busbar for + and - battery connections.
Only connect batteries of the same brand, model, and chemistry to both terminals. if Lead Acid, approx. age also.
Multi-Terminal Single Battery Install
You will only need to do a multi-terminal
single battery install if your single battery
has a max charge/discharge current >160A.
