machine is turned on using this button all the buttonframes light up blue for one

the correct temperature is reached these buttons will also constantly light up blue.
The machine is now ready for use.
Coffee extraction in automatic mode with
button
To brew coffee in the 25 second standard setting press the ”automatic mode“ but-
ton
. The machine will first pump water to pre-infuse and then pour freshly brewed
espresso out of the outlet into the cup. The brewing process stops after 25 seconds
and you can take the cup of coffee. During the automatic mode only the ON/OFF
button and the ”automatic mode“ button light up.
NOTE: You can individually change the automatic mode to brew for 10 to 60
seconds. How to do that is explained on page 121 in the chapter ”Settings for
automatic coffee brewing“.
The brewing process in automatic mode can be stopped anytime by pressing the
”automatic mode“ button again.
Coffee extraction in manual mode with
button
If you want to decide every time how strong the coffee shall be or how much you
want, press the ”manual mode“ button . The machine will first pump water to
pre-infuse and then pour freshly brewed espresso out of the outlet into the cup.
Once there is enough coffee in the cup press the ”manual mode“ button
again
and the brewing process will stop and you can remove the cup.
If you want to brew another cup remove the portafilter, tap the coffee grounds
out of the filter insert and rinse the portafilter clean with clear hot water.
CAUTION: the portafilter and the filter insert are hot! Afterwards dry the filter
insert with a clean towel. The filter insert is now ready for use again.
INSERTING THE PORTAFILTER
Attach the portafilter to the brewing group:
Hold the portafilter under the brewing head so that the handle is located to the
left.
Push the portafilter upwards against the brewing head and turn the handle
counterclockwise to the right until you feel some resistance. The handle will then
roughly be in a 90 ° angle to the machine.
Place one or two empty cups on the drip tray (best pre-warmed by the previous
rinse) under the outlet / the outlets of the portafilter.
