Disassembling the mixing jug to remove
persistent food remains
CAUTION: The blades of the blade assembly are
sharp. Handle the blade assembly with care and do
not use force, in order to avoid cutting yourself or
damaging the blade assembly.
10. Hold the mixing jug over a sufficiently large
kitchen sink, unscrew the bottom of the jug from
the glass jug anticlockwise, and remove the blade
assembly and the rubber gasket downwards.
(See Fig.6–9)
Important: The bottom of the jug can be very
tight. If necessary, follow the instructions on
pages 45/46 (Faultfinding help).
11. Clean all the mixing jug components in warm
washing-up solution. The best way to remove
persistent remains of food on the components is
to soak them for a few minutes and remove the
remains with a small plastic brush or dishwasher
sponge.
Be careful not to cut yourself on the blades, and
not to scratch the sealing surfaces of the gasket
and blade assembly. If the sealing surfaces
cannot be cleaned, the components must be
replaced.
12. Rinse all the mixing jug components in plain
water and then carefully dry them with a clean
cloth.Leave them to finally dry where young
children cannot reach them.
After drying, reassemble the mixing jug.
