Settings for winter operation / standard operation
In order to prevent icing on the
carburettor at low outside
temperatures (below 5°C), the
intake air can be preheated by
setting the slide valve (33) to
winter mode.
The slide valve is directly
accessible once the cowl (5) has
been taken off with the aid of a
screwdriver.
Winter operation.
:
At ambient temperatures below 5°C set
the sliding switch (33) to this symbol on
the left.
Standard operation:
At ambient temperatures of 5°C or higher it
is very important to slide the sliding switch
(33) back to this symbol.
Failure to do so can lead to engine damage
as a result of overheating.
Taking off the main air filter
Always pull out the choke lever (7) before
removing the main air filter (32) to prevent any dirt
from getting into the intake opening of the carburettor.
The main air filter (32) can be taken off (e.g. for
cleaning) by undoing the two retaining screws (a).
When installing the main air filter again, make sure it
makes clean contact with the carburettor.
