3.5 Throttle control lock and throttle control
To release the throttle control (11):
Hold the rear handle with your right hand - the
throttle control lock (10) is activated by the flat of
your hand
! The throttle control is released.
3.6 Chain lubrication adjusting screw
Your new SOLO chainsaw is equipped with an automatic chain lubrication system which
automatically stops the delivery of oil when the chainsaw is idling (Eco-Matic). When the
throttle is operated and the saw chain is driven again the chain lubrication automatically
restarts.
To adjust the amount of oil delivered by this system during operation, the
control screw (28) on the underside of the chainsaw can be adjusted
approximately two turns from plus(+) to minus(-).
As a guideline, we recommend that if you are using 38cm cutting gear to cut
wood which is still moist then the mid-position between (+) and (-) is a good
starting point. Adjust the controls to deliver slightly more oil if you are cutting
dry wood.
3.7 Grip heating (models 651H / 656H only)
On the 651H and 656H models, the electric grip
heating can be switched on via the switch (9)
(move the switch to the top position
!).
Heat builds up slowly both via the front handle for the left
hand and via the rear handle for the right hand - in similar
fashion to the rear window heating system on a car.
Particularly in applications in a damp environment, under
cold temperatures or high humidity the grip heating helps to
prevent working gloves from becoming excessively soaked
and stimulates circulation to the hands.
