Connect the external port box to the board. 3. Turn on the PC power. 4. Start Windows Vista/2008/7/8 5. Go to Control Panel System Device Manager. 6. Right click PCI Serial Port under Other Devices, and click “Update Driver Software”.

Windows Device Driver Configuration 1) To modify communication mode While using Multi-Drop communication mode in RS-422 or communication modes in RS-485, several devices share only one BUS. When one device is using the BUS the other devices cannot use the BUS at the same time. Therefore, for devices which are not using the BUS should be set to Hi-Z at I/O. Auto-Toggling is a feature that sets this task automatically. 1. Communication modes are displayed in “Hardware Config” at “Settings” tab.
