Introduction The Sonic Communications Tactical Remote Speaker Microphone Kit allows the user to remotely operate a connected two-way radio from a body-mounted interface. The unit is designed as an interface which houses dual Push-to-transmit (PTT) buttons and connectivity for a tactical headset. There is also a provision to connect an additional remote earpiece.

Pairing and Operation Before the Wireless PTT will work, it is required to pair it with the RSM. It is recommended that only one accessory is paired at a time and that pairing is not done within the vicinity of others carrying out a similar operation. • Ensure that the Wireless PTT Interface is fully charged prior to use. • Connect a headset to the RSM, and this to the radio. The radio should be powered OFF. • Press and hold the Wireless PTT button. The LED will illuminate RED. • Switch on the radio.
Audio Toggle Allows the user to switch the loudspeaker On/Off. Headset Socket This can be used to attach a headset/helmet to the device. When connected, receive audio will be diverted to this path from the loudspeaker. Audio Toggle will still function in this mode. Earphone Jack This can be used to attach earphones to the device. When connected, receive audio will be diverted to this path from the loudspeaker. Audio Toggle will not function in this mode.
