WAP Browser
WAP Browser
This mobile phone has an internal WAP browser that
allows you to browse contents of various WAP websites
on the Internet. This facility is made available only if you
subscribe to a data service from your network operator for
Internet access. You need to consult your local operator
for more details. Congure the WAP when you use it
for the rst time. Some WAP parameters on your phone
have already been set to a specic network operator. If
you utilize the services of the same network operator you
can directly operate the WAP service with the available
conguration. If not, you need to recongure the settings.
If you are unable to view WAP web pages
because your network operator changed
its WAP parameters or the Internet content
Provider (ICP) changed its WAP web address
or contents, please consult your network
operator and ICP for updates.
Select Menu > Browser > Select. The following sub
menus are displayed:
• Load Homepage: This is the page that is displayed
rst when you open the WAP browser.
• Bookmarks: You can use this menu to add and
manage your bookmarks and go directly to the
corresponding web address. You can also edit or
delete bookmarks via this menu.
• History: You can view web pages which you have
viewed previously. Click on them to open the pages.
• Enter address: You can enter a web address directly
and browse.
• Settings: The following congurations can be set via
this menu:
• Edit homepage: You can edit the web address
of your homepage. Specify a title and the web
address.
• Select profile: In this menu, existing proles
are listed on the display. Scroll to the required
prole and select OK.
• Connection: Specify the connection details for
WAP. The following details are present:
1.Network account: Select the prole which
you had selected in Settings > Connectivity >
Connections > GPRS profiles.
2.Connection type: Select the connection type.
3.Timeout: Enter the time (in seconds) after
which your connection will be timed out.
4. Proxy address: Enter the proxy address as
125.63.77.141.
5.Proxy port: Enter the proxy port as 8888 (for
HTTP) OR 9201 (for WSP).
• Browser options: You can enable the refresh
option to refresh the web pages, you can select
to display or not display images in the web
pages and you can enable or clear cookies.
• Rename profile: You can specify a name for
the selected prole in this menu. The maximum
length of the name is 40 characters.
• Push settings: You can decide to receive or not
receive push messages from operators and web
portals.
• Resume: You can view web pages from where you
last left off. Access the web pages you visited last via
this menu. Select the Back and Forward options to
move between web pages.
• Push inbox: This is the inbox for WAP push
messages.
