4. Questions on Quest

4.1 Why the USB drivers are not found after installing the Sonim

pc tool for Quest ?

USB drivers are embedded with pc tool software itself.Please check whether you have downloaded the

correct PC tool or not. The path for downloading XP3 quest PC tool and installation guide is “

1) The download consists of both PC sync software and installation guide. Kindly follow the guide while

installing the software.

2) Check the version of your PC tool. You can see the version details by click on the icon “ i “ In the main

screen. (it should be 5.0.0 )

If you already have installed this version, then follow the below steps.

1) When you connect the XP3 to your PC through USB cable, you will be getting the popup like “new

hardware available " message

2) Please select “install software automatically" and click OK. So that it will search the driver automatically

from the specified path and get installed.

3)Go to start > settings > control panel > Phones and Modem > click on modem tab and check the

“Philips DF2000 GSM Handset Modem” and COM port details.

4)Launch the Mobile PC tool and select interface setup. Please select it as USB and also select the

proper COM port and click on OK

5) After doing this, kindly exit and relaunch the tool.

Note: You need to do some settings in phone also. Go to Menu > Tools > USB function > select PC sync

and switch off and switch ON your mobile.
