Chapter 6. Safety
To prevent damage of the equipment or injury to yourself or others, read the following
safety instruction before using SonoMe.
6.1 Important Safety Considerations
Read the following safety instruction before using SonoMe.
Warnings:
- Do not use for any purpose other than the intended use. Otherwise, the system may
be damaged or serious injury may result.
- This device is for diagnostic use only and is not intended for therapeutic use.
Always keep this manual with the system. Periodically review operating procedures and
safety precautions.
6.1.1 Electrical Safety
- The biocompatibility has been verified so that it does not harm users or patients
under normal circumstances
- Never attempt to modify the product in any way.
- The battery is a consumable and will lose performance over time. If the battery life
becomes less than 2 hours, it is time for a replacement. When you want to purchase
or replace a battery, please contact Customer Service Department.
- Warning: Class I The product must be connected to a power supply with a protective
earth to prevent electric shock.
- Do not pour liquids on the system surface. Liquids seeping into electrical circuits can
cause excessive leakage currents or system failure. If water is unavoidably poured
into the system, immediately stop using the system and contact a Customer Service
Department.
- Use only probes provided by the manufacturer. Otherwise, the system will not work
and the worst accidents such as fire may occur.
- The system that are not maintained may not be used on patients.
