10. Troubleshooting
Caution! Do not try to repair the device yourself under any circumstances as this will void any
warranty claim. Do not open the casing, as there is a danger of electric shock. If there is a
malfunction, rst check the items listed below before bringing the device in for repair. If you
are unable to remedy a defect based on these recommendations, please contact your dealer
or our customer service.
“NO DISC” is displayed
Insert a CD
Make sure the CD has not been inserted upside down
Wait until any condensation on the optical system has disappeared
Exchange or clean the CD
Use a nalised CD-RW or a (correctly formatted) MP3 disc
Poor reception quality
If the signal is too weak, adjust the antenna or use a rooftop aerial for better reception
Increase the distance between the cubo and other devices such as a television set or a
video recorder
No sound or poor playback quality
Adjust the volume
Disconnect the headphones from the device
Ensure that the MP3 CD was recorded within a bit rate of 32-256 kbps with sampling
rates of 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz or 32 kHz
The alarm isn't working
Set the correct time
Alarm volume is not loud enough
Activate the alarm
Remote control does not work correctly or does not work at all
The remote control is too far away from the device; move the remote control closer to the
device.
The battery is empty; replace the battery in the remote control.
There is reception interference or overlay caused by other frequencies or devices. Do not
use any other devices in the 433.92 MHz frequency band. Move the device to a different
position.
The remote control is not paired; proceed as described in section 2.6.
Note: We exclusively use real wood veneers in our products, which ensures a natural appear-
ance and high quality. Veneer is a natural product. Irregularities in the surface structure ensure
a natural appearance. This has no effect on the functionality and quality of our products and
thus does not represent a basis for claims or complaints.
