(Scan, Slow-motion Play, Freeze
Frame)

You can quickly locate a particular point on a
disc by monitoring the picture or playing back
slowly.

Locating a point quickly by
playing a disc in fast forward
or fast reverse (Scan)
(except for JPEG)
Press <1 al_ or _ m_- while playing a disc.
When you find the point you want. press I2:> to
remm to normal speed. Each time you press "_!
al_ or _ _ during scan. the playback speed
changes. With each press the indication changes
as shown below. Actual speeds may differ with
some discs.

The "x 21_"/'x 241" playback speed is about
twice the normal speed. The "31l_t_"i"3al_l"
playback speed is faster than the "21m,4_"
"2al_l" and the "'21u_,'l_"i"2al_l"playback speed
is faster than "11_-" "lal_."

Watching frame by frame

Press _1 al_ or _ m_ when the system is in
pause mode. To remm to the normal playback
speed, press I2> Each time you press "_I al_ or
D_ during Slow-motion Play. the playback
speed changes. Two speeds are available. With
each press the indication changes as follows:
Playback direction
Opposite direction (DVD VIDEO only)
2 _I €---_ 1 -_
The "2 _"/"2 -_'" playback speed is slower
than "1 _-"/"1 -_."
Playing one frame at a time
(Freeze Frame)
