[SPEAKER SETUP]
Position diagram
To obtain the best possible surround sound, set
for the size of the speakers you have connected
and their distance from yottr listening position.
Then use the test tone to acliust the level and the
balance of the speakers to the same level.
Select [SPEAKER SETUP] in the Setup
Display. For details, see "Using the Setnp
Display" (page 71).
The default settings are nnderlined.
You cannot operate these setup items when you
connect headphones to the system.

SIZE:
To return to the default setting
when changing a setting
Select the item, then press CLEAR. Note that
only the [SIZE] setting does not remm to the
default setting.
[SIZE]
If you do not connect center or surround
speakers, or move the snrround speakers, set the
parameters for [CENTER] and [SURROL%TD]
and specie- the surround speaker position and
height. Since the front speaker setting is fixed,
you cannot change them.

When you select an item, the solmd cuts off I)r a
nlonlenl.
Depending on the settings of otha speakers,
subwoofer may be excessive.
[DISTANCE]
The deihult distance setting lbr the speakers in
relation to the listening position is shown below.
When you set the distance using the Quick Setup
(page 26), the settings is automatically
displayed.
