Preset radio stafions ill the system's memory
first (see "Presetting Radio Stations" (page 56)).
1 Press FUNCTION +/- repeatedly until
"TUNER FM" or "TUNER AM" appears
in the front panel display.
Tile last received station is tuned in.

Press PRESET + or - repeatedly to
select the preset station you want.
Each time _ou press the button, the s_stem
tllnes ill ()lie preset station.
Adjust the volume by pressing
VOLUME +/-.
To turn off the radio
Press I/@.
To listen to non-preset radio
stations
Use manual or automatic tuning ill Step 2.
For manual Iuning, press TUNING + or -
repeatedly.
For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING +
or -. The automatic tuning stops automatically
when the system receives the radio station. To
stop the automafic tuning manually, press
TUNING + or -.
To listen to radio stations when
you know the frequencies
Use direcl liming in SIep 2.
1 Press D.TUNING.
2 Press the number buttons to select the
frequency number you want to listen to.
3 Press @.
If an FM program is noisy, press MENU. and select
"FM Mode?" by, pressing 4"/,I, Ihen press (i). Press
4"/,1,Io select "MONO," Ihen press @. There will be
no stereo effecl, but Ihe reception will improve. To
restore Ihe stereo elfect, select "STEREO."
To improve reception, reorienl Ihe supplied anlennas
{aerMs).
Naming preset stations
You can enter a nanle for preset stations. These
names (R)r example, "XYZ") appear ill the
system's front panel display when a station is
selected.
Note that 11omore than ()lie name Call be entered
lk)r each preset station.

create an index name for.
Press MENU.
Press q,/,I, repeatedly until "Name In?"
appears in the front panel display.

Create a name by using the cursor
buttons.
Press I'/4, to selecl a characler, lhen press -1
to move Ihe cursor to the nexl posilion.
Lellers, numbers, and other symbols can be
input lot a radio stalion name.
If you make a mistake
Press ("/-1repealedly unlil lhe character Io
be changed flashes, Ihen press @1,1,lo select
lhe desired character.
To erase Ihe characler, press ("1-1
repeatedly until the character to be erased
flashes, dlen press CLEAR.
7 Press @.
"(2omplete !" appears in Ihe fi'onl panel
disph/y, and lhe stafion name is stored.
You can check Ihe frequency by pressing DISPLAY
repealedly (page 58).
