We do not recommend using an NP-FV30, which only allows short recording and playback times, with your camcorder. In the default setting, the power turns off automatically if you leave your camcorder without any operation for about 5 minutes, to save battery power ([A. Shut Off]). Getting detailed information from the “Handycam” Handbook The “Handycam” Handbook is a user guide designed to be read on a computer screen. The “Handycam” Handbook is intended to be read when you want to know more about operating your camcorder. 1 To install the “Handycam” Handbook on a Windows computer, place the supplied CD-ROM in the disc drive of your computer. To view the “Handycam” Handbook, double-click the short-cut icon on the computer screen. The installation screen appears.
Additional information Troubleshooting If you run into any problems using your camcorder, follow the steps below. Check the list (p. 59 to 61), and inspect your camcorder. The camcorder does not operate even when the power is set to on. Remove the power source, attach the power source again after about 1 minute, and turn the camcorder on. Press RESET (p. 70) using a pointed object, and turn the camcorder on. If you press RESET, all settings, including the clock setting, are reset.
The recording stops. The temperature of your camcorder is extremely high/low. Turn off your camcorder and leave it for a while in a cool/warm place. “PMB” cannot be installed. Check the computer environment or installation procedure required to install “PMB” (p. 37). C:04: C:06: “PMB” does not work correctly. Quit “PMB” and restart your computer. The camcorder is not recognized by the computer.
Recording time of movies/number of recordable photos Incompatible memory card is inserted (p. 21). The memory card is write-protected. Funciones avanzadas Eliminación de películas y fotos Puede liberar espacio en el soporte de grabación si elimina películas y fotos almacenadas en él. Sugerencias Si inicia la reproducción de una imagen al seleccionarla desde la pantalla Índice de eventos, puede eliminar la imagen usando en la pantalla de reproducción. Para eliminar las imágenes almacenadas en el soporte de grabación y recuperar todo el espacio disponible en el soporte, formatee el soporte.

Información complementaria Solución de problemas Si se presenta algún problema mientras usa su videocámara, siga los pasos que se indican a continuación. Revise la lista (pág. 57 a 59) e inspeccione su videocámara. Desconecte la fuente de alimentación, vuelva a conectarla después de aproximadamente 1 minuto y encienda la videocámara. La alimentación se desconecta repentinamente. Utilice el adaptador de alimentación de ca (pág. 11). Encienda la videocámara nuevamente. Cargue la batería (pág. 9). Las imágenes no se graban al presionar START/STOP o PHOTO. Presione MODE para encender el indicador (Película) o (Foto). La videocámara está grabando en el soporte de grabación la imagen que acaba de tomar. No se pueden realizar nuevas grabaciones durante este período. El soporte de grabación está lleno.
E:: Siga los pasos de en la página 57. La videocámara se encuentra en posición inestable. Sostenga la videocámara de forma estable con ambas manos. No obstante, tenga en cuenta que el indicador de advertencia de vibración de la cámara no desaparecerá. El soporte de grabación está lleno. Elimine las imágenes innecesarias (pág. 31). Sugerencias Puede grabar películas con un máximo de 3 999 escenas con calidad de imagen de alta definición (HD), y 9 999 escenas con calidad de imagen de definición estándar (STD). El tiempo máximo de grabación continua de películas es de aproximadamente 13 hora. Si desea grabar hasta el tiempo máximo de grabación indicado en la tabla, debe eliminar la película de demostración de la videocámara (HDR-CX160/CX180).

Cuando desconecte el cable de alimentación, tire del enchufe y nunca del cable. Procure no dañar el cable de alimentación al colocar un objeto pesado sobre él. No use la batería si está deformada o dañada. Mantenga limpios los contactos metálicos. Si se producen fugas del líquido electrolítico de la pila: Póngase en contacto con un centro de servicio técnico local autorizado de Sony. Límpiese con agua cualquier líquido que haya entrado en contacto con su piel.
Especificaciones Nota sobre la eliminación o transferencia de la videocámara (HDRCX160/CX180) Aunque elimine todas las películas e imágenes fijas, o ejecute [Formatear], es posible que los datos del soporte de grabación interno no se borren completamente.
