Overview The HZC-UG444/UG444M/UG444W User Gamma application software adds the following function(s) to a Sony HD color camera when installed in the camera. HZC-UG444-compatible models HDC1000, HDC1400, HDC1450, HDC1500, HDC1550, HDC1580, HDC1000R, HDC1400R, HDC1450R, HDC1500R, HDC1550R, HDC1580R, HDC2400, HDC1700, HDC2570, HDC2550 HZC-UG444M/UG444W-compatible models HDC2400, HDC2570, HDC2550, HDC1700 The HZC-UG444M is a version limited to use for 30 days.

Installation 1 Create a key file. Create a text file that contains the software installation key, and rename the file as shown in the following table (the name of the key file varies with the type of camera used). Confirm the result of installation. Restart the camera and check the OPTION display on the page of the DIAG menu. When the installation is successfully completed, the OPTION column indicates the following: D05 TOP MODEL: HDC2400 NO : 100001 OPTION: USER GAMMA + 4:4:4 Note For the HDC1400/1450/1550/1580/1400R/1450R/ 1550R/1580R, the OPTION column shows “USER GAMMA” only.

The SDI 1 connector is for LINK A and the SDI 2 connector is for LINK B. To select a user gamma from the MSU900/950 Select “User” on the Gamma Table page of the PAINT menu, then turn the rightmost knob to select the number of the desired user gamma table.

Set SDI-2 OUT to ACTIVE on the page of the MAINTENANCE menu. M13 TOP SDI-2 OUT : ACTIVE DOWN CONVERTER: ACTIVE (VBS/SD-SDI/RM-MONI) 2 Select LINK B for SDI-2 output. Set the OUTPUT to LINK-B on the page of the MAINTENANCE menu.
