Calling from the phonebook
You can make a call from the phonebook in
this unit (internal phonebook) or the
cellular phone*.
For details on how to transfer the
phonebook data of a cellular phone into this
unit, see “Internal phonebook” (page 26).
* To access the cellular phone’s phonebook from
this unit, the cellular phone must support PBAP
(Phone Book Access Profile).
1 Press  and rotate the control
dial until “PHONEBOOK” appears,
then press it.
The phonebook which has priority
appears. The default setting is the
cellular phone (“CEL”).
2 Rotate the control dial to select an
initial from the initial list, and then
press it.
3 Rotate the control dial to select a name
from the name list, and then press it.
4 Rotate the control dial to select a
number from the number list, and then
press it.
The phone call starts.
Note
Depending on the cellular phone, contacts
displayed on the unit may differ from the
phonebook of the cellular phone.
Changing the phonebook priority
1 Press  and rotate the control dial
until “PH BOOK SEL” appears, then press
it.
2 Select “CEL (cellular phone)” or “HU (this
unit)” to set the priority.
Note on phonebook data
Prior to disposal or changing ownership of your
car with this unit still installed, be sure to
initialize all the Bluetooth-related settings in this
unit to prevent possible unauthorized access
(page 29).
Disconnecting the power supply lead will also
erase all the phonebook data.
Calling from the call history
You can access to the call history stored in
this unit or the cellular phone, and make a
call. This unit stores up to 20 calls in the call
history.
1 Press  and rotate the control
dial until “RECENT CALL” appears,
then press it.
The call history list of this unit or the
cellular phone (set with “PH BOOK
SEL”) appears.
2 Rotate the control dial to select a name
or phone number from the call history,
then press it.
The phone call starts.
Note
The call history in this unit may not change even
if the respective cellular phone’s call history is
deleted.
Calling by phone number
input
1 Press  and rotate the control
dial until “DIAL NUMBER” appears,
then press it.
2 Rotate the control dial to enter the
phone number, and lastly select “ ”
(space), then press the (handsfree)
button*.
The phone call starts.
* To move the digital indication, press
 –/+.
Note
“_” appears instead of “#” on the display.
